Domestic Orders (within the U.S.)
Shipping within the US will usually be by USPS Priority Mail. Priority Mail usually delivers in 2-3 days. High value or high weight orders may ship by FedEx or other Ground service. This takes up to 5 business days for delivery. Express services are available upon request, but will incur an additional charge to cover the actual express costs.
Shipping charges will be automatically added to your order, with rates based on the total amount of your purchase. Shipping charges shown in your shopping cart are accurate for US deliveries, international customers will be notified of actual shipping costs when order is fulfilled.
Shipping rates are as follows:
Shipments to the state of Washington will be charged a Washington State Sales Tax of 9.5%.
International Orders (outside the U.S.)
International shipping methods vary greatly from country to country. We strive to give you the lowest cost shipping method as well as reliable and secure delivery of your goods. If you have a preferred shipping method, please tell us when you place your order. We avoid using UPS or other courier service because they are the most expensive and there is usually a large Customs brokerage fee (which you will have to pay) associated with those couriers.
For internation orders we use either US Postal Service First Class Airmail or US Postal Service Priority Mail International. These methods are quick (6-10 days in transit), reliable, and can be tracked. Due to recent changes in USPS shipping methods which took effect 27 January 2013, these methods are now much more expensive than they used to be, so we have had to raise our international shipping charges accordingly. However, USPS is still significantly cheaper than UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other couriers.
Faster delivery MAY be obtained using US Postal Service Express Mail International (3-5 days in transit). This usually results in only a small savings in both time and cost.
With all international shipping methods, the quoted times are best-case. In the real world, we find that shipments may often be delayed by Customs processing in the receiving country. Customs processing in your country may require you pay duty or tax before you collect your parcel - if your local postal delivery service has problems contacting you the parcel may remain undelivered in your country until this is resolved.
Shipping charges shown in your shopping cart are accurate only for US deliveries. International customers will be contacted after order placement and notified of additional shipping costs, if any (some lightweight orders will require no additional charge). Additional costs depend on the weight of the order and the country of destination, but are typically about $15.00 extra when shipping by USPS Priority Mail International.
Be aware that your country may charge you import duties or taxes on your order. You are responsible for these taxes or fees. We have no control over any charges that may be imposed by your country. In particular, we cannot mark your order as a "Gift", since it is not. However, if you have suggestions for how to accurately describe the contents so as to minimize any import taxes, please let us know.
